About us

Twenty years of nurturing and shaping

Founded in February 2005, Shapes and Colours Educational Centre has grown from a living-room preschool into a full campus serving children from crèche to JHS 3.

Our story

From two children to a thriving campus

Every great school has a first day. Ours had exactly two pupils, one teacher, and a living room. What it also had, and never lost, was the conviction that with the right foundation, every child excels.

2005

Humble beginnings

Shapes and Colours Educational Centre opens in February with just two children, taught in the living room of the proprietress.

2005

First classroom block

Within six months, a three-classroom block is built to accommodate a fast-growing preschool.

2011

A permanent home

The school acquires a near one-acre site on Collins Dauda Road, Community 18, and opens its first Primary 1 class with eight pupils.

2012

Growing the campus

A complete six-classroom block with washrooms and offices is added, with infrastructure enhanced steadily ever since.

Today

Crèche to JHS 3

A full campus serving every stage from crèche to JHS 3, including a fully functional library and a well-equipped computer lab.
